The HOPE Child Savings Account Program provides every eligible Atlanta Public Schools kindergartener with a $50 savings deposit to support future post-secondary education or career training. Managed by Operation HOPE, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the program establishes an early foundation for long-term savings and financial empowerment. In addition to the initial deposit, the program offers ongoing financial literacy education for students and families, supported by the City of Atlanta and guided by a decade-long commitment to program growth and sustainability.

A HOPE Child Savings Account has already been opened in the student’s name as part of the City of Atlanta’s HOPE Child Savings Account Program. No opt-in is required.

To log in and access the account, parents or guardians should visit the registration link by clicking the button below and provide the following information:

  • Student Participant ID or account number (found in the welcome letter mailed to you)

  • Student’s date of birth

  • Zip code

  • Email address

Once logged in, families can review account information and access program resources.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students must attend a Title I Atlanta Public School.

  • Students must reside within the municipal boundaries of the City of Atlanta.

  • Students enrolled in kindergarten in the 2021–2022 school year and kindergarteners thereafter were automatically included in the program.

Each student will receive a Welcome Kit, which includes a welcome letter, account information, and next steps for families.

If you have received a Welcome Kit, here’s what to do next:

  • Log in and activate the account using the information provided in the Welcome Kit

    • Earn a $10 incentive for completing account registration

  • Log in to view your child’s account and track deposits and incentives through the online portal

  • Make deposits to help grow your child’s savings

    • Deposits are currently accepted by mail

    • Make checks payable to Operation HOPE

    • Include “CSA Atlanta” and your child’s participant ID in the memo line

  • Earn incentives that help the account grow, including:

    • $10 for account registration

    • $5 for attending financial workshops

    • $2 for participating in financial coaching sessions
